Aldo Schindler serves as the City Manager for Tustin, California, appointed in May 2024. He brings over 20 years of local government executive management experience to the role. His background includes positions as City Manager of Artesia, Assistant City Manager in Moreno Valley, Deputy City Manager and Director of Community Development in Downey, Community Development Director roles in Whittier and Bell Gardens, and redevelopment/economic development project management experience in Long Beach and Santa Ana.
Mr. Schindler's extensive economic and community development experience is noted as vital for Tustin's goals, including the Tustin Legacy buildout. He holds a Master’s Degree in Public Policy and Administration and a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science. He is an active member of the International City/County Management Association (ICMA), the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), and is a graduate of the CORO Leadership Southern California Program. An Orange County resident, Mr. Schindler emphasizes building partnerships with the City Council, staff, and community stakeholders.
